To Remain or Not to Remain?

One thought has crossed my mind throughout this course. In dealing with being a digital immigrant to the social aspects of online communication, a thought occurs: Do I keep active after this class is over? Do I simply let this account and my Facebook lay fallow? Do I intend to keep in touch with my peers and classmates? Do I let this all go after the semester?

A part of me is annoyed at what I perceive as "online maintenace" in terms of keeping contact with people. The other part of me knows that technology (especially online technology) is the future. Do I stubbornly resist its tug and pull or do I force myself to synthesize with it all?

Right now, it is much too early for me to decide. I will have to come to a conclusion by the end of the semester.

I can relate to your post. I'm not a huge fan of blogging, so it's doubtful that I'll continue when this class is over. However, I don't have much experience with blogging, so maybe once I get more familiar with it I'll start using it more.

I think I'm going to keep my Facebook account. I actually have two, but I couldnt remember my username and password. lol
I need to remember my old account because I had alot of HS buddies on there.
Blogging hasnt really been my thing either, but I've got to say I'm getting used to it.

I ponder the same questions. I have come to the conclusion that I will probably keep my Facebook account active, though it might turn more into my Myspace account: login maybe once a week, but at least once a month, to respond to people's comments and such. I don't think I'll keep the Blogger active, because I really don't think people care that much! What would I have to blog about that would be so interesting to someone? ... I really can't think of anything.
